Kevin Michel interviews Future
Leader of the Opposition Omari
Williams . . . aka Mr. Fuzzman,
Fuzzalina Jolie, Fuzzinator,Senator
Fuzzy.
Here I am laughing at my own joke . . . I might go blind.
1/2 of them were funny!? How dare you. I'd say at least
1/3 were funny! The real funny stuff was my daily life for
that last year. Endless 'Seinfeld' marathons and multiple
hour long rehearsals. It was a time of great passion, focus
and resilience. My comedy was helped along by a great
group of friends on campus and on Frank Worrell Hall.
Those last two years have been critical to my future goals
and personal growth.

Plus the comedy itself was so much fun. I would barge
into clubs get on stage and unleash my ramblings about
people worshiping their Chryslers, & chefs arresting
people and reading them their lasagna rights. I've gotten
booed and received standing ovations.

My move to New York has been a great experience, and
in the process I have found a new home. I'm currently
working full time at Starbucks Coffee Company and
volunteering in the New York City community.
Do you miss St. Lucia, W.I.?
Certainly. How could one not. The
weather is immaculate year round.
Its impossible to walk down the
street and not meet a friend. Its the
ultimate tourist destination. A simply
beautiful country that's made great
by beautiful people.
Do you miss the fooling around on the 'Radiocom'? When is the next Bread Show?
Do you miss the University of the West Indies,
Cavehill?
Yes and no. I don't miss the boredom, the stucture or the absence of real
challenges. I disliked that whole set-up.

I miss the people, the Worrel Queens, Cell Block, Club X, and Club
X-Treme for that matter. Theres no replacing the humor of a Dwana
Davis or the highly entertaining  appropriately oversized ego of a Sheldon
Codner. I am eternally greatful to the                             with its many
Walruses and veterans who put up with my incessant chatter, 95% of
which was unfunny. Kenneth Bobb . . . what a genius! Also the cast of
Under Will's Influence. I'm saving the unedited DVD for you all to see on
your 50th birthdays, momento indeed. Oh plug here, the full version of
the movie can be downloaded on my 'Film' page.

The last two years were particularly purpose driven for me. Producing
and directing Under Will's Influence, performing my 80 minute Stand Up
, my less amusing one hour special
on Worrel Hall (Home is always hardest - I blame the audio!)

So, yes, I miss UWI, but I'm focused on leveraging the learnings and life
lessons that I garnered from that place. My
next, new project is on its
way, and is set to be bigger, better managed and more entertaining.
How is New York?
How's Manhattan? I thought you were going to LA?
New York is brilliant. Every day I walk
past the Empire State Building or the
Federal Reserve Bank or the Billboard for
Spamalot, its a surreal experience. In the
city I've walked past Wolf Blitzer, shared
a laugh with Monty Python star Eric Idle,
seen Matt Le Blanc, Eliot Spitzer, Queen
Latifah. Tried to put the moves on Julia
Stiles and Kieran Culkin.  It continues to
be a great experience.

How is cricket going?
I've been hard pressed to find cricket of any form in NYC. Duhh!
But recently I've found a group that practices regularly at Shea
Stadium (about 20 minutes from my apartment), so I suspect in
the coming months I'll be back playing regularly.

I can't wait to be bowled again, I mean to bat again, sorry. My
dismissals were always aesthetically pleasing.. I am the only
batsman to ever receive an applause for the elegance and grace
with which he was dismissed! I've walked on occasions when I
wasn't out just to confuse and entertain spectators. Its all about
the form.

Today, I continue to work on my notoriously dreadful off-spin in
the nets three days a week, but I'm certainly ready for a new
venue.
This is the last innings I played 16 months ago. Bowled by a leg spinner whilst not playing a stroke! On purpose?
Why are you at Starbucks?
Starbucks Chairman Billionaire Howard Schultz
Some great co-workers, Manhattan.
Everyday I'm more impressed with Starbucks Coffee
Company and am delighted by the chance elements that
brought me there. Its a company that is growing stronger at a
great clip and is becoming an internationally dominant and
respected brand. I exist there to help it achieve such lofty
goals as 20% annual revenue growth and 25% annual EPS
growth. To help the company achieve an unrivaled greatness
in the retail services industry whilst remaining adherent to
values of protecting our environment, respect and dignity to
all company stakeholders, and strengthening the communities
in which we do business.

I've found great pleasure in learning as much as I can about
how such a  value-driven retail company operates. And now I
am working to lead the charge in strengthening our internal
commitment to these values. I intend to be part of Starbucks
for as long as there is scope for me to keep learning and
contributing to company growth.

Was your move to New York a good
decision?
The move to New York has been a magnificent
adventure, but was a minor decision for me.
The only important decision we ever make in
our lives is the decision as to how we choose
to think or feel, whether we choose to
approach life with passion, trust and
confidence or with fear, doubt and uncertainty.
With passion, the accomplishment of goals
becomes inevitable, and as such the path
becomes irrelevant. So it seems..
Kevin I was on your site and only
